MedStars Klamath Falls

MedStars-Klamath Falls is day camp experience, held on Oregon Institute of Technology’s campus, for high school sophomores and juniors interested in exploring health career pathways. Students are required to attend camp for two days in a row, with an optional third half day to earn BLS certification. Lodging and transportation to camp is not provided.

    Dates: July 29-31, 2025 - day camps from 9:00am-4:00pm.

    Location: Oregon Institute of Technology campus, Klamath Falls

    Who: Open to current sophomores/juniors in the 2024-2025 school year. We are limited to 20 participants.

    Cost: free of charge this year

    Transportation: students are required to have their own transportation to camp each day, as lodging on site is not provided. If you are selected for camp and transportation is a hardship, please contact CEAHEC staff to see if we can help.

    ·  Learn medical basics such as suturing and stopping life threatening bleeds

    ·  Build connections to help you pursue your career pathway

    ·  You will be asked to upload a word document with your responses to the following questions:

    Why are you interested in learning about health care careers?

    Please share your educational goals after high school.

    How would you contribute positively to our camp learning environment? Why should we choose you?

    · Be prepared to upload your current Resume that includes your work experience, leadership positions, extracurricular activities, certifications, and volunteer experience.

    ·  You will need one individual to fill out the Teacher Recommendation form for you. The recommendation form must be filled out by a teacher, health professional, school counselor, school administrator, or community leader (they cannot be a family member).
