CASCADES EAST AHEC
ABOUT US
Building pathways for students to health care careers, professionals to communities, and communities to better health.
Cascades East Area Health Education Center serves Central and Southeastern Oregon, a territory of over 37,000 sq. miles that includes Crook, Deschutes, Grant, Harney, Jefferson, Klamath, and Lake counties plus the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs. Our Advisory Board has been selected from throughout the region to help steer the direction, programming, and policy actions CEAHEC undertakes.
Cascades East AHEC has been hosted by St. Charles Health System since 2000, a partnership that links the resources of two organizations with strong commitments to community health and health care access. The support we receive from St. Charles Health System (SCHS) allows our regional AHEC center to put more of our state and federal funding directly into programming and services.
We greatly appreciate our statewide partnership with OHSU and other regional AHEC centers across the state which often enable us to leverage our resources to impact more students, parents, teachers, and health professionals –thus impacting our ability to achieve and support changes needed in our local communities to impact access to health care and quality of health care available to us all.
